You can use a color picker to enhance the look of your pages. When I figured this out, I can’t tell you how much happiness and excitement came to me! I would go to other people’s sites and think that a color was really cool, but I didn’t know how to make that same color appear on my own site.
Let’s say that you were creating an opt-in page, and you decided that you wanted part of that page to be colored the same color as the ‘Y’ in eBay’s logo. Well, you can get a free color picker for your chrome browser by going to Google and simply searching for ‘color picker chrome’.
When you click on this, you’ll be led to a page that you can download it from. You simply click on a button to add it to chrome, and it installs inside your browser. The option to open it up can be found over on the top-right of the browser, and when you open it up, you will see a crosshair and a preview window. The preview window magnifies whatever it is that you are mousing over, and a value will be given at the bottom, which is the number that identifies that specific color.
You can literally pick any color on the site and get the value for it with this tool. You simply copy the color number and paste it into your settings. Simply paste the number in and the page you are working on will be colored the color that you chose.
You can do this not only for the background color to your templates, but also for the different portions of your pages and for the color of the text you are using. Let’s say, for example, that you wanted some of your text to be colored the same red as the ‘e’ at the end of Google’s logo. You would simply go to Google and use the color picker to get the value of that red. Then, you would enter it into the settings for that particular text.
A color picker is a great tool that you can use to make your sites look awesome, and it’s highly recommended that you go ahead and download one. Again, you can find them for free. Once you have one, you’ll be able to design anything and make it look exactly the way that you want it.
