3 Ways To Achieve Your Sales Goals Quicker

3 Ways To Achieve Your Sales Goals Quicker

Want to make more sales?

Here are three ways to achieve your sales goals quicker…

#1: Automate Your Sales Process as Much as Possible

If you are doing sales yourself, then your main constraint is time.

After all, if you could spend more time on cold outreach, discovery calls, and product demos, you’d probably make more sales, right?

So the question is this: how can you find more time for all of that while maintaining your health, fulfilling your familial responsibilities if you have any, and generally having a balanced life that you enjoy?

See Where Your Time is Going

You may think that you know where your time is going but in all likelihood you probably don’t.

We all tend to underestimate how much time we spend on some tasks while overestimating how much time we spend on others.

That’s why you want to either use time-tracking software like RescueTime or track your time with pen and paper by jotting down the exact times you started and finished tasks.

This will help you get clarity on how you are spending your time.

Identify Repetitive Tasks

Once you know how you are spending your time, you can begin identifying repetitive tasks that can be automated.

Go over your time tracking data, write down all the tasks that are repetitive, and then create a list where you rank these tasks by how much time you are spending on them.

You can then use this list to automate these repetitive tasks one by one, starting with the biggest time wasters first.

Create Email Templates

One of the easiest tasks to automate is repetitive emails such as cold outreach emails, cold call follow-up emails, appointment reminder emails, and so on.

You can probably save a lot of time by creating easily customizable templates for each type of email that you send regularly and then using customer relationship management (CRM) software to automate these emails.

Speaking of CRM software…

Use CRM Software

The fewer sales you make, the easier it is to keep track of everything with some combination of spreadsheets, emails, reminders on your phone, and whatever else you cobble together.

However, the more your sales increase, the more apparent the flaws of this disorganized approach become.

And this is especially true if your sales begin increasing rapidly. It’s just a matter of time until you drop the ball on something important.

That’s why we recommend writing out your entire sales process from start to finish and then automating it as much as possible with CRM software before you start focusing on making more sales.

That way, you’ll have a scalable system in place that can accommodate growth even if your sales start increasing really fast!

Use Workflow Automation Software

You can also use workflow automation software such as Zapier to connect various apps that you are using in your workflow.

Even if you don’t implement anything else you learn in this article, you can probably achieve your sales goals quicker simply by automating repetitive tasks and then using the time that you saved to do more cold outreach, discovery calls, and product demos!

#2: Do 10X More of What’s Already Working

It’s probably safe to say that in the vast majority of cases, simply doing more of what’s already working is the fastest way to grow your business.

Alex Hormozi, an entrepreneur and investor who reached $100M+ net worth by his early 30s, encourages people to ask themselves this question:

What’s stopping you from doing 10x of what’s already working?

In sales, this typically means doing more cold outreach because the more potential customers you reach out to, the more discovery calls you will schedule, and the more sales you will make.

In all likelihood, if you start making ten times more cold calls than you are making now, you will probably start making ten times more sales as well. If you want to achieve your sales goals quickly, this strategy is probably the most reliable way to do that.

Hopefully, automating your sales process as much as possible has freed up a lot of time that you can now invest in cold calling.

Still, realistically, you’ll probably need to work longer hours if you want to start making ten times more cold calls than you are making now.

You’ll have to decide whether that’s a sacrifice that you are willing to make in order to achieve your sales goals faster.

#3: Build a Sales Funnel for Your Business

We believe that every entrepreneur should start by selling their product or service themselves via cold outreach.  Why?

Because that’s the quickest way to:

  1. Learn how to sell
  2. Perfect your sales pitch
  3. Get some money coming in

Once you feel confident in your ability to sell your product or service, you can start hiring salespeople and training them on how to do it. However, this is not the best way to scale sales, especially if you want to do it fast. Why?

Hiring, training, and managing salespeople has a huge overhead cost, not just in terms of money but also in terms of time, energy, and attention.

Moreover, salespeople are humans and therefore have human limitations, so if you rely on them to sell your product or service, you will have to continue expanding your sales team if you want to keep increasing sales.

While you definitely can build a successful business that way, it seems like an unnecessarily slow approach considering that we live in the digital age.

Our co-founder, Russel Brunson, managed to take ClickFunnels from zero to $10M+ in annual revenue in just one year (it’s at $100M+ now!).

He’s a great salesman but a single individual can’t possibly make enough cold calls, discovery calls, and product demos to reach eight figures in revenue that fast.

And he started this business with a friend without taking any outside investments which meant that they didn’t have the money to just hire a bunch of salespeople right out of the gate. So how did he reach $10M+ in annual revenue?

Russel built a Value Ladder sales funnel for ClickFunnels and then used online marketing to drive traffic to it.

The main concept behind this sales funnel is simply:

You convert potential customers into leads, leads into customers, and customers into repeat customers by pitching them increasingly more valuable offers.

So you start by offering them a freebie in exchange for their email address, then pitch them your least expensive offer, then a more expensive one, and so on until you have built enough trust to pitch your most expensive offer.

Here’s a helpful graph that illustrates this idea well:

And if you want a concrete example, here’s the Value Ladder sales funnel that Russel built for the launch of his “DotCom Secrets” book:

The reason why the Value Ladder sales funnel is a superior way to sell your products and services is that it allows you to make sales on autopilot.

Sure, it probably won’t work smoothly right from the get-go, especially if you have never built a sales funnel before.

But if you keep optimizing it with A/B testing, you should be able to get it to the point where it can sell your product or service 24/7/365, provided that you continue driving traffic to it.

If you can figure out how to profitably drive traffic to your sales funnel with paid advertising, scaling sales becomes relatively easy because all you need to do to get more sales is increase your ad spend.

Remember Hormozi’s advice of doing 10x more of what’s already working? Once you get your ads to work, increasing their budget ten times is pretty straightforward.

Just make sure that you do it gradually because sometimes ad campaigns don’t scale linearly as expected!
